We Just Loved That Win!

Dec 05, 2014

Well-bred mare Love Shuttle had recorded two third placed efforts at her first two starts this time in, but on Wednesday at the Sunshine Coast, she went two places better, recording her second career win.

By the Group One Golden Slipper placegetter Zizou, Love Shuttle is out of the dual Group Three-winning Octagonal mare Sky Love, herself a half-sister to Group One winner Sky Cuddle and the pair of Listed winners Highly Recommended and Undeniably.

Bred and part-owned by Stuart Ramsey’s Ramsey Pastoral, the mare had one start in Adelaide for Mark Kavanagh before he made her way north to out Gold Coast stable.

In the field of eight, jockey Matthew McGuren had the mare in fifth place upon settling and although she drifted back during the run, she produced a well-timed effort to record a half-neck victory over Goddess Of Luck, with a further two-and-a-quarter length back to Savannah Dream back in third.

Lightly raced for a five-year-old, Love Shuttle has had seven starts for two wins and three placed effort and we really feel that as she has matured she has learnt to settle and we expect her to be improved next time in.

Congratulations to her large group of owners on the win; Ramsey Pastoral Company Pty Ltd, A Douglas, G Douglas, R F Gibson, J Smith, D R O'Reilly, Mrs S J Douglas & Mrs W K Douglas.
