Gold Coast Win For Game Thief
Nov 03, 2014
Having been in quite good form since arriving at the Toby Edmonds Stable, five-year-old Bernardini gelding Game Thief finished a narrow third last time out as the favourite, and after just over three weeks away from the races, he headed back to the Gold Coast over the 1400m to contest the Happy 50th Paul Plate with Jackson Morris in the saddle.
Once again starting the race favourite, as he has done in three of his five starts for the stable, the flashy looking grey settled worse than mid-filed in the samll six horse field and when presented for his run, worked home well to take the win, his third career win overall and second for the stable.
Owned by great stable supporter Kevin Maloney’s Segenhoe Stud, Game Thief is an interesting horse in that he started his career in New South Wales, before heading to Victoria, and is now in Queensland..
Having really shown that he is enjoying his time in the “Sunshine State”, we have no doubt that he will continue to impresove once he has had a full preparation within the stable.
Congratulations to the winning connections and we wish them the best of luck moving forward.
