Sunshine Coast Swerve

Oct 15, 2014

Starting his career in NSW, the Dane Shadow gelding Swerve was an impressive maiden winner at Scone in July before finishing a good fifth at his first run for the Edmonds Racing Stable when produced over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast.

Sent back to the same track and trip, Swerve was ridden by Jackson Morris and settled handy in the run after jumping away well from the barrier.

Winning the Reece Plumbing Handicap by a length and three quarters from Louisiana Rouge with a further three-parts-of-a-length back to Niemands Girl back in third, it was the second win from six starts for the four-year-old gelding who has shown he is an out and out sprinter.

Congratulations to owners Kevin Maloney and Segenhoe Stud who sent Swerve to our stable in fine fettle.
