Munce And Ninja Too Good

Sep 29, 2014

Beaten last time out as the race favourite, seven-year-old Black Ninja headed to Doomben on September 27 to start well in the money in the Acquired Awareness Handicap over 2200m.

With leading jockey Chris Munce in the saddle, Black Ninja jumped away well from barrier four and with the tempo being slightly slow, he went forward. Winning the race by a neck from fellow New Zealand-bred gelding Coworth Park, with two lengths back to Mightysui in third.

With two of his career wins while he has been part of the stable, we are having a great run with horses who have not lived up to expectations elsewhere, but are thriving in the Queensland sun!

The victory of the Yamanin Vital gelding was his third career victory with a further four placed efforts for owner Ross Melville, who we congratulate on the victory!
