Kisses All Round As Mare Salutes

Aug 09, 2014

A recent acquisition for the Toby Edmonds Racing stable, having been transferred from Sydney, the Segenhoe Stud-blue blood filly Water Kiss started her stint with the Toby Edmonds Stable in winning ways.

With no public trails leading into her first-up assignment, the Encosta de Lago mare headed to the Gold Coast to contest the Unilever Handicap over 1200m.

Having previously broken her maiden over the same trip, the four-year-old was sent off a short priced favourite. Working to the line at a fast rate, the mare defeated Cheeky Devil by three-parts-of-a-length.

Ridden a treat by Jackson Morris, the mare who recorded her second career win was purchased by Segenhoe Stud and raced s out of the Listed Toy Show Handicap winner Kishkat, a sister to the Group Three winner Our Quivira, who is the dam of the three time Listed winner Panipique.

Having had a few runs in this timer, the stable will see how the mare pulls up before we assess where she heads to next, but a massive congratulations to owners Segenhoe Stud on another winner for the successful relationship.
