Water Kiss Wins Again

Oct 02, 2014

Winning at her first start for the stable in August, Water Kiss has recorded a narrow second and a fourth before heading to Ipswich on October 1 to contest Race 6: Labour Day Free Entry handicap over 1350m.

With three weeks in between runs, the mare appeared to appreciate the break and with jockey Jim Byrne doing the steering, the four-year-old Encosta de Lago mare took the race by a length from Stradam with Gotitallwrong a head away in third.

While she was slowly away from the gates the mare hustled forward to take up a position not too far from the leaders before producing a good sprint as they rounded the home turn to put the race beyond doubt.

One of many recent winners for Kevin Maloney’s Segenhoe Stud, that includes Swerve, Young Fun, and Our Boy Nicholas, all at Toby Edmonds Racing are extremely appreciative of the opportunity Segenhoe Stud give us.
