Game Set and Match

Jul 26, 2014

Having his first start for the stable, Segenhoe Stud’s Bernardini four-year-old gelding Game Thief headed to our home track of the Gold Coast on Saturday to contest the opening race of the day – the Schneider Buildings Allstar Class One.

Having started his career in Sydney, before a stint in Melbourne, Game Thief trialled for Edmonds Racing a few weeks back and ran extremely well, finishing second behind the stakes performer Gundy Spirit, beaten a half-head margin over the 840m at Doomben.

Racing first up over the 1200m, Game Thief settled at the tail of the field before making a well-timed run to record his second career victory, defeating Isla Poppy by a neck with a further neck to the third horse Perisha.

One of the many horses we trained for Segenhoe Stud and the Maloney family, we are extremely grateful for their continued support.
