Success for Quest For Peace

Jul 09, 2014

Having always shown ability, even from the moment the Stuart Ramsey-bred and race filly first stepped out in Melbourne with the Peter Moody Stable, three-year-old Hard Spun filly Quest For Peace has finally delivered a win for the Toby Edmonds Stable, and he third career win overall.

Sent to Eagle Farm on Wednesday to race over 1500m in the Mitty’s Fillies And Mares Class 3 Handicap, the talented filly appreciated the drop in class from recent stakes racing to take the event in a deceptive photo finish – but the camera never lies - and a hoof doesn't count!

Ridden by James Orman, Quest For Peace settled with only a handful of runners behind her and had to chase hard to catch the lightly weighted Hot Augusta on the line, to take the race by a nose, with a length to Queen Caesar.

A massive supported of the Toby Edmonds Stable, it was great to get a winner for Stuart and Trish Ramsey of Turangga Farm who have bred and race many top class gallopers in the past.
