Segenhoe Stud’s Tulla Touch brings up fifth win

Jul 12, 2014

A winner two starts back at the Sunshine Coast over 1000m, Exceed And Excel filly Tulla Touch stepped up in class last time out and found the 1200m a little beyond her, so the step back to the 900m at the Gold Coast on July 12 was always going to suit.

Raced by Ron Sayers and Segenhoe Stud, Tulla Touch was backed in late to start the second favourite in Race 2 on the day, the Shearers Arms Tavern Class 4.

With Jackson Morris in the saddle, Tulla Touch jumped away ok from the gates in the seven horse field and settled in fourth position on the rail with the race favourite and top weight Prettyfamous racing three-wide in the lead.

When the field headed for home, Tulla Touch needed a little encouragement from her jockey, but set out after Prettyfamous to nab him on the line, winning the race by a long neck with a further three-and-a-half lengths to Perfect Glory in third.

Enjoying a great run with the stable, Segenhoe Stud has been represented by recent performers Spurs And Sashes, Italian Storm, Young Fun Total Response and all at the Toby Edmonds Racing would like to thank them for their continued support.
