Back to back wins for Scarborough

Mar 26, 2014

Winning his fourth start a week and a half ago, four-year-old Snitzel gelding Scarborough headed back to the “scene of the crime” to contest the Sky Racing Handicap over 1600m at Eagle Farm.

Jumping away a little slowly and sitting at the rear, jockey Travis Wolfgram made his just as the runners started to round the home turn and with two furlongs to go, he was in a challenging position.

Starting the race favourite off the back of his excellent recent form, the four-year-old appeared to handle the Heavy 9 track conditions, prevailing by a short half head from Cross The Star with Lee Ho Fook a further half of a length back in third.

Having now won five, with a further four placed efforts from 20 starts, Scarborough has been part of the Toby Edmonds Stable for his past nine starts after having been secured by clients after previous trainer Gai Waterhouse sold the gelding.

With a prize money cheque collect in eight of his last nine starts, Scarborough is one of a handful of recent winners for Edmond Racing and continues to highlight the outstanding strike rate that Toby possesses.

A massive congrtaulations to Scarborough's; Miss J Edmonds, G C Diamond, T H Smith, C Porter, D V Patel, D K Patel, R M Lapointe, C McDonald & D Love.
