Gold Coast Double

Dec 10, 2013

It wouldn’t be race day without the Toy Edmonds Stable saddling up a winner, and Saturday December 7 was no different as the team produced a double on their home track of the Gold Coast.

With a handful of starters for the team, it didn’t take long for the action to start with the ever consistent mare Dolphus recording her second win from her last three starts with a length-and-a-quarter victory over Fancy Clancy in the All Coast Recycling Handicap over 1400m.

Having been in the Edmonds Stable for only seven starts, the four-year-old Dylan Thomas mare has won on two occasions and recorded another three top four placed efforts for owners Miss J Edmonds, G Diamond, A Maley & M Chisolm.

Three races later four-year-old Snitzel gelding Scarborough won his first start for the stable, scoring by a half-length margin over the 1800m of the Nathan Van Liempd Memorial Class Two Handicap.

Building up to a victory, evident from his recent form, the Miss J Edmonds, G C Diamond, T H Smith, C Porter, D V Patel, D K Patel, R M Lapointe, C McDonald & D Love (pictured below)-owned galloper settled in second position and toughed it out all the way to the line to take victory.

Without the continued support of our owners the stable would not be able to achieve the success it has had - so we thank you all.
