It’s all in in the name… She’s Amazing

May 27, 2013

Having only her second start off the back of an encouraging third place on debut over 1200m, two-year-old Zizou filly She’s Amazing returned to her home track and appreciated the step up to the1400m, recording a three-quarter length victory in the Turtle Beach Resort Maiden Handicap.

Having had three trials with the Gai Waterhouse team, the filly was moved to the Gold Coast-base of Toby Edmonds, where she has progressed really well through her preparation, having two barrier trials, each time stepping up in trip before her  nice debut performance in mid-May.

Ridden by Tony Pattillo, the filly settled not too far off the leaders before pushing out around the home turn and working home too well, going on to record her first career victory at just her second start.

Out of the G3 Taranaki Cup winner Madame Shinko, the two-year-old filly is sure to appreciate further than the 1400m and looks an ideal Oaks candidate, with the G1 Queensland Oaks in 12 months’ time possibly a long-range plan for the connections.

Bred by Stuart Ramsey’s Ramsey Pastoral Co Pty Ltd, who stands the sire of the filly, She’s Amazing was not sold through a sale, but her full-sister Ninja Flight was sold the year prior, making $45,000, and is  interestingly also trained on the Gold Coast.

Zizou is having a great run at present, represented by three individual stakes winners; Everage, Pitstop and Marseille Roulette as well as the promising Rappor, Zin Zan Eddie and Tiarazou.

Congratulations to the winning connections of the filly; Pink Diamonds (Mgr: Mrs M J Hardy), with many more winners in the future for the promising filly.
