Eagle Farm victory for Bid Spotter
Feb 09, 2013
Having only been in the care of the Toby Edmonds Stable for seven starts, Redoute’s Choice gelding Bid Spotter recorded his second win for the stable, recording victory in the Goa Get Noticed! Open Handicap over 2100m at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
A last start third in the Magic Millions Stayers Cup over 1800m, the gelding was formerly trained in Sydney by Graeme Rogerson after being purchased at the 2007 Magic Millions yearling sale.
Jumping away well from the middle of the line, apprentice jockey Tegan Harrison allowed Bid Spotter to settle in a handy position where he was comfortable, before urging him to make his move, holding off the late charges of the second and third horses to record a narrow victory.
From the seven starts with the Edmonds Stable, Bid Spotter has won twice, and recorded another two placed performers for earnings not too far off the $100,000 mark. Bid Spotter pictured below in his former set of racing colours.
Congratulations must go to his winning connections; Mrs Donna Edmonds, Mrs Pat James, Mr Cameron James and Mr Rod James.
It has been a very good few days for the Toby Edmonds stable with Spot On Target winning on Friday at Grafton (click here to read about it), Emvoss travelled to Canterbury on Friday night to finish third, beaten just over a length, while War Ends produced a very nice first-up effort over an unsuitable trip at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
