Politely finally wins again for the Girls!

Aug 18, 2012

CONSISTENT placegetter Politely broke through for his first win in 11 months at the  Gold Coast today will be sidelined for three months after suffering a bleeding attack.

Politely is rarely far away in his races, but has found it difficult to win since he won a Class 1 Hcp at the Gold Coast last September.

Well-backed to run the $4.60 second favourite in today’s Fly Scoot Save Loot Class 2 Hcp (1200m), Politely finished strongly for jockey Paul Hammersley to score by a half-neck over Blaisingjad ($5.50). Egyptian Tomb ($9) made good ground late to be only a half-head away in third.

“He’s consistent and has gone close a few times lately, but today has finally been able to get there,’’ said trainer Toby Edmonds.
“He needs a strong rider and Paul rode him well.’’

Politely had 10 minor placings on his record before breaking through for his third career win today.

The all woman syndicate have a great day every time they go racing and a winner was a bonus, there were tears all round as this boy is a stable favourite. Next year we will be heading to the Magic Millions to buy another for the girls, they love their racing and we love preparing winners for them, thats what racing is all about!
